Something for Halloween

Halloween is my favorite holiday. It allows us to be creative, and lets face it down right morbid, and no one thinks anything about it. This year we did something new. What you ask? Well we joined up with one of Ohio's best Haunts Scare Fair Harolds Haunted Cornfield in Waynesfield, OH. We set up a group photo shoot and invited some of Ohio's best Photogs and models to join us. We called it the Glam/Horror Group Shoot. The owners of Scare Fair opened up the doors and let us run wild. There were so many options to shoot that I know we missed some. Each of us photogs went in with different ideas, and the results were amazing. So now I would like to share some of the images with you. Mideval Wedding

It was a lot of fun shooting this wedding at Piatt Castle... With the entire wedding outside, and the constantly changing lighting conditions it did get a bit tricky, but we pulled off some great images. Cancer Fundraiser Photo Shoot #2

Friday, July 13th, 2012... We pushed our luck, shooting for the calendar on this day, but it paid off better then we could have dreamed. Lima Harley Davidson opened their doors and bikes to us, and William and Jess volunteered their time to top the rides beautifully. A big thanks to all of you.

Pro-Street Camaro

Last Saturday we took a small road trip down to Indian Lake Ohio for the annual "Party on the Beach" (A 4th of July Celebration). Eventhough I grew up at Indian Lake, and had been watching the fireworks for most of my childhood, it was only three years ago that Betty and I started going to the Celebration. Every year there is a car show, so we got in touch with the right people, and set it up for us to shoot for the "Let's Kick Cancers Butt" calendars. There were plenty of beautiful rides to choose from, and I would love to show you all of them, but I can't ruin it for the calendar now can I. But here is one of the cars that I am sure will grace the glossy pages of the cancer fundraiser for 2013. A sweet Pro - Street Camaro... This car has BAD written all over it.

We also had a chance to photograph a nice V- Star which will grace the pages of the Motorcycle version of the Calendar in 2013, along with our two beautiful new models, Kristi and Brooke. Both of which didn't arrive in time for the cars, which we shot first thing in the morning.

We found this beautiful ride parked in Kenton at Brim's Imports. Could not help myself but to stop and take some pics.

Portrait at Sunset

We had been at the beach most of the day, taking a snap shot here and there. But, when the sun started to set, the lighting was so wonderful I could not resist taking a couple portraits of my lovely wife and photog-partner.

How I got this image.

The main light for this shot was the sun, which as you can see was behind her just to the right. I used the on-camera flash set to 3/4 for the fill light. The camera: Canon T2i with f/5.0, shutter speed 1/200, and an ISO of 200. I used a 75 - 300mm lens set at 100mm.

Child Portraits: Autumn

Well I got to photograph one of my favorite young subjects again. Autumn is about as cute as they come, and takes direction better then most of my teen and  adult clients. She is always a joy to work with and this these sessions were no different. It started out as a shoot for Betty's Beauties, and fashion accessory boutique, but I took the opportunity to get a few extra shots just for the fun of it.

Lets Kick Cancers Butt

Model Search

Spring is right around the corner, and Steinman Photography is kicking into gear putting together their 2013 Lets Kick Cancers Butt Calendars. SP is looking for fresh faces, 18-35 years of age. Those selected will be in the 2013 calendars, and will receive digital copies of their photo sessions. The plan is for two calendars, one motorcycle calendar, and one car/truck calendar, as well as the possibility of posters. All will be sold with 90% of the profits going into a fund to help cancer patients.

To enter send an email to sphotog@live.com with LKCB model search as the subject. Include your name, age, city and state, one head shot, and one full body photo. These need not be professional pictures, good clear snapshots will do fine. Make sure to include your email and phone number.

Motorcycles, cars, and trucks are also needed. Send email to above address with bike, car, or truck as subject. Please include name, email, phone, and location.

Sponsors also needed… If you are a business owner and interested in helping sponsor the calendars, send enquiries to the above address with Sponsor as the subject. Include contact name, email, phone number and best time to call.

Well we have finally done it, started a blog for Steinman Photography. Not sure what all we will be posting on here just yet, maybe our sale prices, special events, things like that, and lists of what we are currently looking for...
